WATERSPORTS ON LAKE GARDA

We had a great experience renting a Soling from WWWind on Lake Garda and would definitely come back. There were two of us, one experienced sailor and one non-sailor, and the boat was perfect for us. The Soling is about 27 feet long and was very manageable to sail single-handed while still having plenty of room for another person and our things. You could comfortably take a few more people as well. The sailing itself was fantastic. Lake Garda’s wind changes depending on the time of day, with the wind dropping during the transition, so it’s worth being aware of that when planning your return. The mooring is also fairly close to shore, which makes the approach a little tight, but for an experienced sailor it shouldn’t be a problem. The team at WWWind were extremely friendly and helpful. We rigged, de-rigged and stowed the boat ourselves, while they took us out to the mooring and collected us afterwards by RIB. The rental was very flexible as well — when we decided we wanted another hour, it was only €20 extra and we could simply stay out longer. We also had lunch at the restaurant/bar afterwards, which was really good and made for a great end to the day. A brilliant way to sail on Lake Garda. You certainly don’t need to be an experienced keelboat sailor — anyone with confident dinghy sailing skills should be comfortable handling the Soling. We would absolutely rent from WWWind again.

We came to wind square to learn sailing for the first time. Victoria was the most amazing instructor! Her ability to gauge our level of confidence and comfortability with each new skill was so impressive. She’s very in tune with when and how much new information to teach which is important for beginners. She was so much fun to learn from and be out on lake Garda with! I can’t wait to come back next summer to learn the catamaran next with Vicki! 🤗⛵️ We also did one wind surfing lesson with Gabi. She was also a great instructor and so patient! Wind surfing is so fun but like any new sport difficult to pick up. Gabi was great at explaining each step to have a successful first day in the bay. I highly recommend wind square for all water sports! We’ll be back next summer!

Wir hatten eine richtig geniale Zeit bei Windsquare in Malcesine. Segeln am Gardasee ist sowieso ein Traum – wenn dann mittags die Ora einsetzt und man mit stabilem Wind über den See zieht, versteht man, warum hier so viele Segler herkommen. Was die Station aber wirklich ausmacht, ist das Team. John, Vicky und Lukas sind einfach super: Die drei haben enorm viel Ahnung, erklären geduldig, gehen auf jeden einzeln ein und schaffen es gleichzeitig, dass das Ganze nie nach Unterricht, sondern nach Spaß anfühlt. Man merkt sofort, dass sie selbst mit Leidenschaft dabei sind. Auch beim Wingfoilen top betreut – Timo und Franzi holen einen genau da ab, wo man steht, und man macht in kürzester Zeit richtig Fortschritte. Riesenspaß! Kleiner Tipp am Rande: Direkt nebenan bei Morettine isst man richtig gut. Perfekt für die Pause zwischen zwei Sessions oder zum Ausklang, wenn der Wind abends einschläft. Wer am Gardasee ist – egal ob Anfänger oder mit Erfahrung – sollte auf jeden Fall mal bei Windsquare vorbeischauen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder. 👌

My cousin and I took a couple catamaran lessons and had the best time! Our teacher Viki was really funny, patient and experienced but also had a lot of trust in us and our skills, therefore we had the best time sailing together. We will definitely be back!

Super expérience au club ! J'y suis allée 3 fois. D'abord pour louer un solling. Je suis navigatrice en France et on m'a tout de suite fait confiance en me pretant un bateau, le club est très arrangeant. Je suis ensuite revenue pour louer une planche à voile. Pareil le club a été super arrangeant et honnete parce que j'avais loué 2h et au bout de la première heure le vent est tombé. Et on m'a laissé renaviguer l'après midi. J'ai aussi pris un cours de wing foil, pareil, super expérience, monitrice très sympa. Encore une fois on m'a laissé renaviguer l'après midi pour que je puisse m'entrainer dans du vent plus fort sans compter les heures. Merci pour tout j'ai adoré !!!! Et le staff est super sympa !

Absolutely perfect! I had an amazing time at Windsquare Malcesine for wing foiling! The beautiful bay is perfect for learning and practicing, with great instructors and an amazing setup right on the water. What I loved most is the huge variety for the whole family — wing foiling, windsurfing, sailing with a catamaran or dinghy, plus sun loungers and a beautiful beach to relax. 🌊⛵️🏄‍♂️☀️ With parking directly by the water, great conditions, and incredible surroundings, it’s the perfect spot for an active and relaxing day at Lake Garda. Highly recommended — perfect vibes and something for everyone!
